Shelly was on time. : )
So full of life and a ton of laughter! David sure got his game on for his April Fools Day wedding. I do? ...uhhh....wellll... the silence went on and on and on....But he made up for it with his ring...biggest 'rock' EVER. The emotions were all over the place. When Dad gave the bride to the groom, he was a little misty eyed, and Mom was all thumbs up with a big smile.
David and Michelle put on the 'Best Ever' party afterwards. The Stereo Kings absolutely rocked the house, food was so dang yummy, and friends and family had decorated the place all natural and fun, just like Shelly and Dave. Sooo if you ever get to hang around these two, prepare your cheeks(no not butt cheeks) your face will be hurtin' from a ton of laughter.
Congrats you two!

Love is in the air! Kristin drags Steve out for an engagement session in the park on his day off...aannnd Monday night football will be on soon! No problem....with Kristin's bubbly and totally cute personality, Steve had a blast. This dashing young Sheriff was carrying his cute, soon to be bride, around like a bag of sugar(and I wonder what the heck he could have been whispering in her ear?).
But wait, where are the #18 jerseys today? Yeah, I had to give some razzing over their favorite quarterback, Peyton Manning, and what the heck is going on with him. But I think Kristin made the right call, bright red soled spike heels, matching her equally red fingernail polish, this girl has a lot of life and a little sass to make it exciting.
I can't wait for the wedding....guaranteed to be full of love, life, and laughter!

B-B-que time!
A little family time at my sisters, (family includes all the pups and pooches) As you can see, the pool is where I like to be - sunny and hot -- oh yeah! I bumped into a few canines who lost their toys, and you know we played a little hide and seek. Gotta get as much pool time as we can, this beautiful summer won't last forever(dang-it).
Mom and her kids were making waves Sunday! Mom is Connie, a beautiful Cane Corso, and the kids were Gunner and Miggy (yup, named after our Tiger slugger) I think Connie thinks she is a seal, she dives and swims underwater like a fish! It was amazing to watch, if I hid her toy, she would swim at the bottom of the pool looking for it. Boy oh boy, show her the 'torpedo' toy, and the mild mannered mom turns into a swimmin machine! The kids are just pups, learnin the ropes, with enthusiasm for the water just like their Mom. Thanks Pamela for having me out to your beautiful pool, and letting me swim with the doplhins... er...a...the pups!

Shelby and Max totally rocked the 'look"! I have to say the stars and stripes really looked good on them at Heritage Park in Taylor,MI. Or maybe it was just that they were so darn down to earth and friendly, that anything would look good. Max, the Lab/shepherd, mix was excited but very mindful, and such a good poser for photography! I think he wanted to be the poster child for rescue organizations, as Shelby rescued him. You can see in Shelby's smile, the bond and love of animals and pets, and to hear that she ride horses too... just made my heart jump with excitement. Keep up the good work with Max, and keep getting good grades in your college studies, and I can't wait to see you two at the next UAD Bark-A-Bout doc diving event!

I couldn't resist an afternoon at a high school softball field. Brings back awesome memories playing for Clarkston High 'back in the day' oops -sorry- this is about Lexi. Lexi is as spirited as they come - she has definitely got game, and as tough as they come. Playing second base had her busy all afternoon - dang girl...grounders, line drives, double plays, base runners stealing, whew I got tired just watching. Oh, and that just got her fired up - you should see her swing a bat! Oh yeah...you will in the pictures that follow.

I can't wait to see when the travel league starts! you know I will be there!
Great job Lexi!
On this dark January winter day, I had to post something a little warmer and summer like. Chey's smile will brighten any day.
Cheyenne is beautiful and spirited, and pretty tough too. Walking through fields of hungry mosquitoes, I drenched myself with 'squita spray - but not Chey, she was wearing high heels, laughing and having fun! Finally, out of the fields and back at her home, we had a blast bringing furniture out of the house into the yard, and back again, without Mom finding out - well until now. The best part was when we were taking pictures at the piano - I got to enjoy hearing her play her own compositions. Did I mention she is talented and beautiful?
Thanks Chey!

MJ turns 2! What a cutie pie, but boy oh boy I had my work cut out keeping up with him and his friends and family. You see, the party included big bounce houses at SSGA in Davison. Slides, obstacle courses, and a full size twister game. Everybody was bouncing and sliding with huge smiles on their exhaustion induced rosy cheeks. It was a bit challenging getting great pictures when my flash would pick up the colors of the bounce house, or I would get trapped in the obstacle course as kids came crashing through. I just wanted to drop the camera and join in - ah If I were only a kid again. Alas - the bouncing part ended and it was time for ice cream cake and lots of cool presents! I got a kick out of MJ's apparently favorite present; a kid sized bag that he put over his body. It looked like a cartoon as it moved about the room, with only two little legs shuffling along.
Happy Birthday MJ!

Who could resist a wedding that had a beautiful country home setting, a horse in the stable, an adorable kid, a pig roast, and a family reunion all in one? I couldn't, Amber's Mom and Dad threw a party that matched their outgoing and vivacious personalities. Family and sentiment was strong; Jeff was in tears as his beautiful bride came down the aisle, and Klhoe was ecstatic during the kiss. Everyone got to loosen up and share some giggles, laughs and catch up with family stories... and of course I got to see some of their funniest faces.
Jeff, Amber and Klhoe, I wish you the best!
]]>A bundle of pure cuteness! I will never tire of all the adorable expressions that can be seen within one minute with Lylah. But I can tire of trying to keep up with her. She enjoyed her 2nd Birthday party with friends and family, playing and swinging, and sliding, and jumping, and just wearing us all out! I wish you could have seen her go to every guest and say "thank you", and give them a kiss - I even got one!
Happy Birthday Lylah!

Opposites DO attract. Brian and Reneka are proof positive! Quiet and reserved, the beautiful Reneka is stunning as the wife of the gregarious and dynamic Brian (aka BuGsy). I must say this was an emotional event for me, as I have known the two for a while, and the tears in my eyes made it difficult to focus at times. The self written vows were incredible, and if you know Brian - you know there were animated and hilarious one liners mixed in with sentimental heartfelt emotions. Good luck you two!

How can a beautiful afternoon on the Detroit River Walk get any better? Just add the vibrant smiles of Megan and Tyler! Megan's exuberant charm was balanced by Tyler's quiet cuteness as we strolled through the absolutely busy paths at the Miliken State Park. Sooo we decided to go to a quieter area, Ford Field. As two sports enthusiasts, this is just what the doctor ordered. Let the ribbing begin...you see Tyler is a true blue Lions fan, and well, Megan is a Cowboys fan. But alas, we ended up at Comerica Park where we could all just get along. Thank you two for a wonderful evening, and thanks Tyler for putting up with a million pictures as you were starving for French toast after a long day of work (then straight to the photo session and no time for a bite to eat)!

Gosh darn I love my profession! How can you beat rolling around chasing cute puppies and getting wet kisses by happy hounds? And I get to make goofy sounds all day long (BTW, the fart sounds get the best reaction with dogs!?) And who would know that bacon cologne can make you VERY popular. We set up a mini studio twice a year, sit back and enjoy the entertainment these cute canines provide. They make the darndest faces, put up with our silly little hats, and they love playing chase with our silly little props. Americas Next Top Model better look out, these 'kids' are good.

Waterford Mott vs Walled Lake Western . Mott had this game under control. They had their long ball shooters hitting all strings early, then the inside game opened up with a flurry of lay-ups and fast breaks. Yes, this was another classic Mott blow-out.

Waterford Kettering vs Waterford Mott Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball. Kettering hosted the game, and the gym was buzzing with frenzied fans. Here are hi-light pictures form the Boys and Girls games:
The girls game was close all the way, with Mott ahead most of the game. Then with about 3 minutes to go - bam! Kettering hits a 3 pointer, ties it up, then took charge for the rest of the game. Kettering wins 39-35. More pictures are at: http://www.karenkishphotography.com/mott_vs_kettering_girls_basketball_varsity
The teams started out pretty even in the early going, but as the night progressed, the Kettering Captains took charge, winning 42-30. More pictures can be seen at: http://www.karenkishphotography.com/mott_vs_kettering_boys_basketball_varsity

I got to hang out with Zach, Raneka, and Brian(Bugsy) at the playground in Clarkston, for a family photo session. Whew!! You have to be in shape to keep up with young Zach. What a bundle of smiles! I think he's going to be the next point guard in the NBA, he sure can whip that ball around. I bet this family got a good night sleep, I know I did.
Learning how to react in live fire settings is part of fireman training that can involve problem solving under extreme stress, but it is an essential skill for those considering a fireman career. Many people might not realize there is more involved than knowing how to work a large hose to put out a fire. In fact, many of the emergency management techniques that a fireman must have can involve the scientific properties of combustion and hazardous materials, chemicals, diesel fuel or explosives.
Hats off to these brave men and women! I was several feet behind them as I was shooting, and the intense heat felt like it would blister my arms, I could not image spending hours wearing and wrestling with all their heavy and bulky equipment, while performing risky and organized maneuvers.
Before a Pet Photo session, it is most helpful if the pet has a chance to expel any excess energy and excitement through a little exercise, and a chance to get that last nervous potty break in. Below are a couple examples, they were new to the photo experience, but they were eventually happy to smile for the camera. (the Cat is my own 'daughter', she has a lot of experience in front of the lense)
